I am from Glasgow, Scotland, where I was triple-trained as a nurse (pediatric, general adult, then midwifery). I worked as qualified nurse for around 10 years, studied psychology, worked as a research assistant in addictions, and am now a trained clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology, addictions, and severe and enduring mental illness. I have been on two missions for MSF as a Mental Health Officer, first in Uganda (7 IDP camps) then in Darfur at Kalma camp (approx 100,000 IDPs).
